Meet your How2Mom Team
Stephanie Sinclair – Founder
I’m a mom, a wife, and the person behind How2Mom.
I didn’t plan to work in birth and postpartum care. I found my way here during my first pregnancy, when I realized how overwhelming everything feels when you don’t really know your options. Once I had the right support and information, the experience felt completely different and I wanted to pass it on.
I became a birth doula in 2015, and over time my work grew into supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in a lot of different ways. I’m a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Placenta Encapsulator and Doula Agency Owner, but more than anything, I’m someone who sits with families during big, vulnerable moments.
What I’ve learned after supporting so many parents is this: most people aren’t lacking strength or intuition. They’re lacking support not only before birth but after.
How2Mom exists to change that. We focus on helping parents make data-informed decisions without the pressure of being perfect.
Nikki Zweber – Partner, Doula
I am Nikki. I am a DONA International Birth Doula. I serve families in the East Metro. I am very grateful to a partner at How2Mom.
My path into birth work began after I had two empowering water births with the help of a doula. The water births showed me how much clear caring support can change how birth feels. I wanted to give the steadiness of that support to families.
I’m passionate about helping parents feel confident in their choices by sharing evidence-based tools and meeting each family exactly where they are. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with my husband Nate, our daughters Lola and Vivienne, and our dog Murphy—cheering at games, trying new restaurants, or getting lost in a good book. I can’t wait to support you.
Frequently Asked Questions About Postpartum Planning
This postpartum care plan is meant to make things feel clearer—not more overwhelming. If you’re wondering how it works or whether it’s right for you, you’re not alone. Here are the most common questions we get.
How do I access the postpartum care plan?
As soon as you sign up with your name and email, the postpartum planning worksheet will be sent straight to your inbox. You can download it immediately and start using it right away—no waiting, no extra steps.
What is postpartum care and why is it important?
Postpartum care is all about supporting you as your body heals, your emotions shift, and your life changes after birth. It includes things like rest, nourishment, emotional support, mental health check-ins, and clear boundaries.
It’s important because postpartum doesn’t end after a few weeks—and having a care plan in place can make this season feel more supported and less overwhelming.
What should I do during postpartum?
There’s no one “right” way to do postpartum, but having a plan helps. This postpartum care plan walks you through practical things to think about—like who’s supporting you, how you’ll rest and eat, and how you’ll care for your emotional wellbeing—so you’re not figuring it out on the fly.
How long is the postpartum phase?
Postpartum is often talked about as six weeks, but in reality, it’s much longer. The fourth trimester alone covers the first few months after birth, and emotional and physical recovery can continue well beyond that.
This worksheet helps you plan for postpartum as a season, not a deadline.
Is this really free?
