Hi, I'm Nikki!
I am a DONA International Certified Birth Doula serving families in the Twin Cities Metro, and I am honored to be part of the How2Mom team. From supporting unmedicated, medicated, planned cesareans, hospital, home, and birth center births, I bring a wealth of knowledge and perspective to each family I serve. My love of research and evidence-based practices fuels my work, and I am deeply committed to empowering people to trust their intuition when it comes to birth, their bodies, and parenting.
My own two water births, supported by a doula, sparked my passion for this work and opened the door to walking alongside others in their unique birth journeys. I believe that every family deserves compassionate care, reliable information, and unwavering support as they navigate the incredible process of bringing new life into the world. You can often hear me, and the How2Mom team saying “there’s no wrong way to birth a baby”.
I live with my husband, Nate, our creative and intelligent daughters, Lola (15) and Vivienne (12), and our “big baby” dog, Murphy – who all inspire and support me every day to do this work that is so close to my heart. Outside of birth work, you’ll often find me on the water with friends and family, cheering for our girls at their sporting events, cooking, reading, discovering new restaurants, or enjoying live music. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your family.
