Lactation Services in the Minneapolis Metro

Feeding your baby shouldn’t be overwhelming—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

You were told it would come naturally. They just forgot to mention how much support it takes.

Let’s be honest—breastfeeding isn’t always this magical, instinctual thing we’re promised. It’s leaking through shirts, second-guessing every latch, crying at 2 a.m. because your baby just won’t eat. It’s sore nipples, confusing advice, and a lot of pressure to “just keep trying.”

At How2Mom, we meet you right where you are—with real answers, hands-on support, and zero judgment. Because what you’re doing matters, and how you feel while doing it?

That matters, too.

Why now? Because early feeding struggles don’t fix themselves.

The truth? The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Baby’s hunger cues escalate. Your stress builds. What starts as a small question—”Is this normal?”—quickly snowballs into burnout.

And while it can get better, it doesn’t have to be this hard.
We help families across the Minneapolis Metro get the feeding support they deserve—right away.

Not in three weeks. Not after one more sleepless night. Now.

Lactation Counselors / Lactation Consultants: Can you help with my specific feeding concern?

We get this question a lot, and it’s an important one.

Our answer is simple: We’re here to help.

At How2Mom, our team provides compassionate, evidence-based lactation support for families navigating all kinds of feeding experiences and challenges. Whether you’re struggling with latch or nipple pain, wondering about milk supply, navigating pumping or bottle feeding, working through feeding changes, or simply want reassurance that things are going well—we’re here to support you.

No two babies or feeding journeys are the same, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Our goal is to meet you where you are, listen to your concerns, and provide practical, individualized support that helps you feel confident moving forward.

Whatever you’re experiencing, whatever questions you have, and wherever you are in your feeding journey—we’re here for you.

Need more specialized support?

Sometimes lactation support is just one piece of the puzzle. If additional support could benefit you or your baby—whether that’s bodywork, evaluation for oral restrictions, a pediatric dentist, or another trusted professional—our team works alongside a network of wonderful providers throughout the Minneapolis Metro and surrounding areas.

We believe in collaborative care and in making sure you have the right support at the right time. When another professional can be helpful, we’re happy to connect you with someone we trust.

No judgment. No confusion. Just honest, collaborative care from a team that’s here to support you every step of the way.
