The BEST Protein Energy Balls

We are pretty much known for these delicious bites here at How 2 Mom! Whether it be by our kids for a yummy and nutritional snack or better yet, by our clients when they go into labor. This recipe is our go-to to keep our kids and laboring moms fueled and energized by lots of nutritional goodness! So here you have it, the full recipe in all it’s glory!

Ingredients

1 Cup Oats
1 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 Cup Protein Powder (we have a preferred brand)
1/3 Cup Raw Honey
1/3 Chia Seeds
1/3 Cup Flax Seed Powder (powder is key)
Chocolate Chips (optional)
Coconut (optional)

Instructions

After you combined all of these ingredients, roll into balls and place in the fridge. Some recipes call for chilling prior to rolling, but I find that can dry out the mixture. I also mention that we have a preferred brand for our protein powder. You want to make sure that you are using a high quality brand to absorb the nutrients and in order to get a good amount of protein. To learn more about our preferred brand, click here. You also want to make sure you are either buying the Flax Seed powder, or that you are grinding the seeds yourself. They are extremely hard seeds and could cause major damage in your digestive tract!

The best part is, you can’t really screw this recipe up! If you’re having a hard time forming balls, you may need to add more peanut butter or honey! The taste comes out slightly different every time I make a batch, which makes it fun!
